Starting up the Fractal Brains Start Up

This is my new work place for the next couple of months. A Summer of writing and computer programming. Since January this year I've been transitioning to the Android, Java & OpenGL platform, previously I was doing C#/C++ & MFC/GDI etc. Though C & C++ will still be important in the new environment. I'm porting all my existing code and getting up to speed with the new programming. The new OpenGL 3D computer graphics for demonstrating aspects of the brain theory, to go with the upcoming talks, videos and documentaries; will have far more of a wow factor than the old stuff in C#/GDI+ which was pretty slow and basic.

I hope to have the first prototype software implementation of the fractal brain theory fully working, complete with fancy graphics, sound and visual processing to go with the next wave of public talks starting in September later this year. I bought a smart phone from China a few weeks ago just to get hold of the fully 8 core mediatek chip inside it to master multi-threaded parallel programming on Android/Java. Also I'm quite excited by the new google GPU/Renderscript technology to go with the multi-cores. And so the first artificial intelligence implementations deriving from the fractal brain theory will be running on Android OctaCore smartphones. Stay tuned, more to follow soon....
